WCSC General Meetings for 2010

  • May 4, 2010 - 7:30pm - Heritage Grill - Start of Year Party!
  • Stay Tuned for more ...
  • November 2, 2009 (tentative) - 7:30pm - Heritage Grill - the club's Annual General Meeting - please plan to attend!

Unless otherwise specified above, most general club meetings take place at the Heritage Grill in New Westminster (details below). This year again, the club will be having meetings at a few different locations, including Pemberton and the Fraser Valley.  Look at the list above for the next scheduled meeting.

Meetings are open to anyone, member or non-member. In addition to a little club business, meetings feature a presentation on anything from a pilot's recent flying trip, to a HAGAR discussion, to a treatise on meteorology, catching the latest flying clips or DVDs, or something equally interesting to club members.

447 Columbia Street
New Westminster

Almost right next door to the Columbia skytrain station

The Heritage Grill is located at 447 Columbia Street in New Westminster, and is a funky little jazz restaurant with excellent food, an extensive bar, and an eclectic back meeting room for the club to use. There is lots of free street parking after 6 pm, and the restaurant is located almost right next to the Columbia sky train station.

Please do not bring in ANY outside food or drink to a WCSC meeting. We used to meet at a great pub in Coquitlam, with great food, drinks, and a private meeting room. All at no charge to the club. Unfortunately, someone foolishly brought their own can of beer into a club meeting, then compounded the blunder by leaving the empty can for the staff to clean up. The next day the club was informed that we were no longer welcome to meet there. Having outside alcohol in their facility actually puts their liquor license in jeopardy.

2010 WCSC Reserve Deployment & Repack Clinic

March 20, 2010
Agassiz Elementary School

The cost for the clinic is $30 Canadian. It would greatly help the club if you would pre-register for the clinic, as it will help us with scheduling. If possible, please pre-pay as well, using the payment page you'll find on the registration page. We have to pre-pay for Betty's airfare. Most of the other costs have been covered by generous volunteers, so the cost of the clinic can be kept low.
