A good group of Hangies at Pemberton: Me, Steve, Mark, Martin, Doug, Jon, Bob, and maybe some I forgot. Light outflow in Squamish on the drive up, and a totally blue day. A strange layer of smoke at about 3,000’ on the east side of the valley (assumed from a forest fire) on arrival but it seemed to clear. Tried out the top launch for the first time. It takes a while to get there (almost an hour) but it is sweet!

Pretty much everyone got away and romped up and down the valley. Max height at 10,100’, though most thermals seemed to break up and get ratty at 8,000 / 9,000 - even with the light winds. Peter (PG) said he had ~ 6 collapses at ridge height, but it didn’t seem that bad to me.

Classic late afternoon conditions with lift everywhere at 5:00 and having to find sinking air so I could get down and take a break after 3 hrs flying! Switchy winds in the LZ but everyone got in with their dignity intact.

I’ll post a GoPro video after I get it edited.

A great day!

Neil,

Way better then "NO" track at all! Thanks for helping out the cause.

Stunt Man Steve indicated that he might be interested in the OLC stuff, You might help by pointing him to the software to download his flights.

BTW, what GPS are you using ?

I use an old trusty Garmin 12, hence no altitude in the track logs.

A far as software, I use PC Graph for the Brauniger, and (given a posting you did a while back) MaxPunkte for the GPS. Have had software errors when trying MaxPunkte with the Brauniger, which is a shame because I think it can combine the Barograph and track log...
