Re: Why we fly...

If you take comps too seriously, yes I think you're right. But if you think of them as simply flying with friends with retrieve and emergency vehicles on standby and look at it as primarily a learning experience, then you can very much capture the essence of flying during these events. Re: Why the Amateur Radio People Hate Us....

One of the problems with the extended frequencies above 146 is that most regular ham radios can't transmit on these. One either has to use specific commercial radios that are tuned to that particular frequency, which would make them useless for other frequencies, or modify your current ham radio to ...

Re: Liability commercial tandems

Andrew,

I've had my lawyer take the wording from the HPAC waiver, then add a few extra sentences and then name everyone on the same waiver.

Re: New WCSC Website (Sneak Peek)

I think there are a lot of pilots out there including myself who don't have the respect for how much effort has gone into building these sites. Tyler Hence why I said that having access to the old forum posts is valuable information for the club. There's a lot of wisdom that can be gleaned from pil...

Re: New WCSC Website (Sneak Peek)

Hey Tyler My question wasn't a challenge or defence of the old website. It was a simple question for which I was expecting a simple answer, but thanks for you detailed response. It makes complete sense. If you'll indulge me as a veteran of the WCSC, I have another: What happened to all the old posts...

Re: HPAC/ACVL Finances.........

Or as Nick Jones, the current acting president, says, maybe you should be bringing this up for discussion during the AGM. That's where the budget can be viewed, discussed and voted on. The HPAC "Spending Policy" is the annual budget which is developed by the BoD and voted upon by the members. Any ex...

Re: New WCSC Website (Sneak Peek)

Perhaps if you explain the deficiencies of the current website it will give people a better idea of why it needs a revamp.
