24 Hour Course
This course has been approved by HPAC for all tandem pilots and instructor ratings but may be most useful to the pilots nearby if an accident happens, also is required to pilots
This course is designed for those who work or recreate in the outdoors, far from the assistance of the 911 EMS systems. It is for physicians, outdoor leaders and responsible wilderness users to enable them to treat people in an austere environment with a minimum of equipment. This is not inside a warm, lit clinic with a nurse and cupboards full of toys.
The instructor will be Jim Ongena, he has been teaching Wilderness Medicine Courses throughout Canada & U.S.A. since 1982, and is considered the pioneer of Wilderness First Aid in Canada.
