Many local pilots now use XC Find in order to be tracked while flying, a safety feature as well as great entertainment for those following along on their computers at home/work. You can find XC Find at http://xcfind.paraglide.us/ and the "Canada" group is mid-way down the list. Click on the "map" button to see who flew where that day!
There is also a mobile version (for Android only at the moment) available at the Google Play store under "XCF Mobile".
With the flying season upon us, now is a good time for a donation to Dave Wheeler (XC Find's admin guy) who uses the donations to help pay for server space and the upkeep of the site. You can find the Paypal donation button at the bottom of the webpage.
If you are not yet on the XC Find Canada page, you can email Dave (his email is near the donate button) and request to be added. Don't forget to include your shared tracking URL and mention you would like to be added to the Canada page.
I just donated $20 for the season, please consider doing the same. He does this as a service to the flying community; plus it's a small price to pay for the convenience of having your track easy to find online and compare to others. I look at XC Find almost every good flying day just to see who did what and compare our flights to the other usergroups.
