For those looking to become licensed and legal amateur radio operators, the North Shore Amateur Radio Club is putting on an amateur radio course in January 2017.

If you use a radio while flying, it's a good idea to get educated on radio etiquette and proper usage, as well as becoming licensed with a bona-fide call sign. There is no annual fee or membership dues to having a license, just the one-time course and exam fee, and the call sign is yours to keep.
