New Canadian Open Distance Record set by Alex Raymont in Alberta 334.5km.
Great flight from Peter Spear too, with 307 km. Congrats!

Didn't Ivo do the same flight? I thought I read somewhere he did 340km

Congrats to Alex on his Canadian record!
For those who might like to take on adventure of flying the "flats" I have just recently been made aware of a small professionally built Euro winch that is available and is currently sitting in Pemberton with an owner that is inspired to sell.
Towing is not for everyone but it does offer a level of independence and your own personal access to the same sky's that Alex set his record. The system is a basic hitch mount and perfect for mounting on any vehicle with a trailer hitch.
Send me a Email and I can forward your information to the winch owner ( Miguel Roberts... )... could be your first step toward setting your own flat land records?
