Post by pep »

The New site for our Provincial association is up and running.
You can see it here: http://www.bchpa.ca

Nice work.

Some feedback on the website:

I think the front page could benefit from a short one-sentence/paragraph description of what BCHPA does, and what those projects are.

The headings are also somewhat confusing on the front page, and don't seem to follow a consistent style or structure. Often times important context is hidden in small brown text.

The top picture is... weirdly desaturated and pixelated for some reason? A sunny day at launch should look much more vibrant!

The Minecraft and 'Like a Boss' images should be replaced. It reduces the sense of professionalism that the site is otherwise trying to convey.

DH: Enhancing Flying Sites Throughout British Columbia <<---Doesn't need a whole paragraph. The about us section has more detail. The project button is right on the top for immediate follow-up.

DH: Yup, liked what the picture represented but had only a lower res version. If you have a better one, feel free to send it over.

BTW, What's a wevsite? ;-)

DH: If you have some relevant photos to replace them with, always willing to review. Didn't feel the need to be too serious all the time. What we really need are projects to fill in those spaces. See it as a challenge to come up with some.

"See it as a challenge to come up with some."

In a case like this I am inclined to think along the lines of 'less is more'. :)
